Ronald Gunnell

President of Global Affairs, The Garibay Institute

Mr. Gunnell serves as the President of Global Affairs and as a Board of Director at The Garibay Institute for Soft Power and Public Diplomacy, founded by musical icon Fernando Garibay. The institute is an international think tank based in Los Angeles that promotes peace among nations through music. He is also a founding board member of "The Power of Words," established by international fashion designer Deborah Sawaf, which aims to raise global awareness of mental health through the influence of words and fashion.

Ronald C. Gunnell is a distinguished executive, philanthropist, and global advisor with extensive experience in international business, the arts, and charitable endeavors. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Brigham Young University (1975–1978), where he cultivated a strong foundation in communications and management.

In 1986, Mr. Gunnell co-founded Health Benefits America (HBA), which emerged as the premier outsourcing benefits management company in the United States. Under his leadership, HBA provided services to over 50 of America's largest Fortune 100 companies, including General Motors, Bank of America, AT&T, Rockwell International, PepsiCo, FedEx, Citibank, Chevron, Xerox, Marriott Corporation, and Coca-Cola. In 1996, HBA was acquired by Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), the world's largest payroll company, where he continued as an executive until 1998.

As the Founder and Global Chairman of Truth Alone Triumphs Global Enterprises, LLC, Mr. Gunnell facilitates global consulting and fosters dialogue between nations. He launched Gunnell Technologies in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. Serving as the International Executive Advisor and Cultural Liaison for JDB Entertainment Global, based in Nashville, Tennessee, he continues to bridge cultural and business interests worldwide. In 2022, he introduced the G-20 Interfaith Forum to His Excellency Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the G-20 Chief Coordinator for the Government of India.

His commitment to education and the arts is reflected in his service on numerous boards, including the Hale Center Theatre, Utah State University National Advisory Board, the Cain College, and the University of Utah School of Music Advisory Board. As a founding member of the BYU Marriott School of Management, and a member of the UVU Presidential Advisory Board, he contributes significantly to the advancement of higher education. He also serves as Chairman of the Legacy Film Foundation and as a National Advisor to Best of State.

Deeply involved in charitable and volunteer work, Mr. Gunnell supports Mentors International in countries such as the Philippines, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru, and El Salvador. He is associated with Operation Kids, and serves on the Board of Directors for Rising Star Outreach in India. As an Ambassador Board Level member of the World Trade Center Utah, he contributes to an international ecosystem of global connections, and integrated trade and investments.

In 2000, Mr. Gunnell was appointed Executive Producer for Global Talent and Assistant to the President of the world-renowned Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. In this capacity, he is responsible for securing and negotiating with world-renowned musical artists and celebrities who perform with the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. He has collaborated with distinguished luminaries such as David Foster, Katherine McPhee, The King's Singers, Gladys Knight, Bryn Terfel, Renée Fleming, Andrea Bocelli, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, and many others from the realms of music, journalism, and acting.

In 2017, he was officially appointed Global Artistic Advisor to the internationally acclaimed "The King's Singers" in London, England, assisting with their global charitable efforts. He also serves as Global Advisor for GENTRI, the Gentlemen Trio, an emerging group of tenors. In 2021, Mr. Gunnell was called to be the Global Envoy to the Tabernacle Choir Presidency. In this role, he assists the choir's global outreach and promotes music as a universal language of peace and love.
