Michael Gunnell is a distinguished figure in diplomacy, leadership, and global enterprise. As Assistant to the President of Diplomatic Global Affairs at the Garibay Institute for Soft Power and Public Diplomacy in Los Angeles, he plays a key role in advancing cross-cultural partnerships that bridge nations through the shared power of dialogue, creativity, and collaboration. With a career marked by meaningful international engagement, Michael has hosted and collaborated with global leaders such as Governor Gary Herbert of Utah and Derek Miller, President of the World Trade Center Utah, during their diplomatic mission to India. He has also welcomed Jonathan Freedman, President and CEO of the World Trade Center Utah, facilitating high-level discussions on trade, innovation, and intercultural cooperation between the United States and India. Beyond diplomacy, Michael shares a close professional relationship with Clint Valladares, Global Manager to the legendary composer A. R. Rahman, reflecting his deep involvement in the creative industries. His musical sensibility, as a trained pianist and passionate music lover, complements his vision of uniting art, leadership, and global understanding. He believes that music, like diplomacy, transcends language and serves as a universal bridge of emotion and purpose.

Academically, Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, providing him with a strong foundation in analytical thinking and innovation. He is currently pursuing a Master of Leadership and Management (MLM) at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University (ASU), where he continues to expand his expertise in global leadership, strategic management, and cross-cultural communication. A true multidisciplinary leader, Michael Gunnell stands at the intersection of technology, diplomacy, and the arts, embodying a new generation of thinkers who merge intellect with empathy to build a more interconnected and compassionate world.
